昨日は2016年シーズンに向かって、大好きな千葉ロッテマリーンズの野球について話しました。 限られた時間でしたが、チームの歴史や主な人物を簡単に説明して、応援団やファンの間の絆など、私が体験してきた外野の文化を少し紹介させていただきました。

前日シート貼りをして、当日並んで開場になると急いで座りたい場所にグループの席を確保して、試合中は一緒になって一生懸命チームを応援します。 勝ったら二次会で皆で喜びますが、負けても必ずお互いに「お疲れ様」と言って、そして私のメーングループは毎回しめのミーティングもやります。 こういった外野ライフは時間とエネルギーが必要なので大変ですが、大切な仲間とチームのためですから、努力の甲斐があると感じる人は少なくないです。

プレゼンテーションで言い忘れてしまったが、応援歌は地方の試合で歌詞を変えたり、限られた場所・期間でしか使わないものもあったりして、とても面白いと思います。たとえば、セミナー中で流した二次会の最後に歌う歓喜の歌の「マリーンズが本当に好きだから」という歌詞を、関西だったら「本間に好きやから」、九州だったら「ちかっぱ好きやけん」に変更することがあります。 (後者は何回も歌ったことがあるのです 笑） 西武ビジター戦限定の「西部には負けられない」なども迫力があってすごいですよ！

是非球場にいらっしゃって、マリーンズサポーターの魂を生で感じてみてください! ヤフオク! ドーム戦なら、私と仲間たちがきっとビジター席から我がマリーンズを全力で応援しています!! （よく映りますので、テレビ中継でも見かけるかもしれません 笑）

Hello everyone, it’s Hannah!

This month, in preparation for the 2016 season, I talked about my favorite baseball team, the Chiba Lotte Marines. I talked about the team history and key people, and also about the “Outfield Culture, including the Ouendan and the connections between fans. We do “sheet-hari” the day before a game, show up early so we can hurry at gates open to claim seats in our area for our friends, and cheer together with all our might. If we win we have a big celebration, and even if we lose we thank each other for a good time and my main group even does a post-game meeting.

I forgot to add it to the talk, but an interesting aspect of our cheers is that we change lyrics based on the location and have some songs only used in certain places or situations. For example our celebration song when we when is changed when we’re in Kansai or Kyushu to reflect the local dialect. And “We Can’t Lose to Seibu,” sung only during Seibu Lions away games, is pretty amazing!

Please come to the baseball field sometime and experience for yourself the connection between the team and all the fans. If you come to Yafuoku Dome, you’re sure to see me and all my buddies cheering full force for our Marines!
