今回のセミナーは私の母校である、ペンシルベニア州立大学（通称ペンステート）について話させていただきました。

田舎で人が少ない地域にはあるにもかかわらず、ペンステートは非常に大きくて（メインキャンパスだけには4万人を超える在学生がいる）、地域と州に及ぼす影響も大きいです。プレゼンで、有名な分野の研究やスポーツ、特にアメリカフットボールはもちろん、それほど知られていないことも紹介しました。甘い物好きな私が特に誇りに思うのは、ペンステートのアイスクリームコースです。 このコースの歴史は100年以上続けて、べんアンドジェリーズ、サーティーワンなど、一流アイス生産者の数々はこのコースで自分の製品をさらに美味しくできました。キャンパスのクリーマリや食堂に行けば、名物のペンステートアイスを楽しめます。 フレッシュで濃厚なこのアイスは最高においしいですよ♪

For this month’s seminar, I talked about my university, Penn State.

Though it’s in a small area, Penn State itself is huge, with over 40,000 students on the main campus, and it’s effect on the local area and state are also huge. In the presentation I talked about our most famous points, including research and sports, especially football, as well as some lesser known features. One of my favorite aspects of our school is the Ice Cream Short Course. It has a history of over 100 years and major manufactures like Ben&Jerry’s and Baskin Robbins have taken this course and used it to improve their products. If you go to the Creamery or one of the cafeterias, you can try our famous Penn State ice cream for yourself. It’s fresh, rich and extremely delicious!
