Question:
Why can we not fly out of Tokyo home, when we all technically flew into Tokyo?
Answer:
Remember that we were originally flown into Tokyo so that we could attend Tokyo Orientation before departing for Saga. This part of our arrival in Japan is arranged by CLAIR so your Contracting Organization does not have direct control over this portion of your travels.
When your CO pays for your return home, they must follow their organization’s rule, which can vary from organization to organization. In this case, if not flying out of Tokyo causes difficulty for you, talk to your supervisor and explain your situation. (For example: I will be in Tokyo until departure and it would be very hard for me to return to Kyushu before leaving.) But keep in mind that they will be bound to their organization’s rules and might not be able to be flexible.
