10月1日~1月12日ー　佐賀　Saga　ー　Saga Light Fantasy

From late autumn to winter, the city of Saga will be beautifully lit up, centered around Saga City’s central boulevard (approximately 1.6 km of the symbolic road), with spot illuminations at places like Esplatz and 656 Square, voluntary illuminations by stores along the route, and illuminations with the participation of local residents.

12月6日　ー　佐賀　Saga ー　JET Christmas Party

This year, the JET Christmas Party will be held in Saga City. A private space has been rented for the afternoon, and you are welcome to bring your own drinks. Please RSVP with AJET Matt (including any +1’s!) and check the Saga JET LINE group for information.

12月6~7日ー　有田　Arita　ー　Finland Fair

A recurring event in Arita, held this year on the first weekend of December. From 18:00 on the first day, a “White Ceremony” will be held, including a snow machine, for the opening ceremony. Santa will appear, along with a light show that will illuminate the skies and let you experience an aurora! In collaboration with the Finnish embassy, you can enjoy a variety of Finnish cuisine and goods using local Saga produce. A special exhibition in collaboration with Finland’s textile brand Finlayson and Arita Technical High School will also have limited products available for purchase.

The Finland Fair Runs from 11:00~22:00 on Saturday 6th, 11:00 ~ 17:00 Sunday 7th.

12月6日〜7日　ー　佐賀　Saga ー　Balloon Challenge Series

On this weekend, it will be possible to experience a hot air balloon ride (tethered flight). Registration for the event begins at 6:30AM, with the first 200 people able to fly between 7:00~9:00AM. The balloons will fly from the Kasegawa Riverbank in Saga Ciy.

12月13日〜14日 & 20日〜21日　ー　有田　Arita ー　Marshmallow Christmas

In the Artia tradition, the large marshamllow christmas tree will return! You can enjoy shopping for Arita-ware and indulge in the chocolate fountain. Roam around the christmas market, make your own mini-marshmallow tree, or take photos with the illuminations that light up the streets. 12月6日〜25日　ー　伊万里　Imari ー　Imari Candle Christmas

A candle-themed Christmas event will be held at Okawachiyama, the Nabeshima Clan’s kiln. This year, a 10-meter high Santa will apear and light the Encon candles. You can enjoy food, drinks, pottery workshops and the music stage throughout the event period. The event will run from 11:00~20:00 each day. Admission is free, with extra temporary parking available at Imari City Hall (free) and a free shuttle bus service to and from Imari Station.

12月20日〜2月8日　ー　佐賀　Saga ー　Noritake Kinashi Exhibition

At the Saga Prefectural Museum of Art, Noritake Kinashi’s third national touring exhibition will finally arrive in Saga! Free expression and vivid colours can be expected from his works, as well as new works that use alternative techniques. Throughout the event period, you may view the exhibition between 9:30~18:00, with general tickets costing 1500円.

12月6日・7日・21日　ー　佐賀　Saga ー　Craft Workshops

Held at the Saga City Jofuku Longevity Hall, you can enrol in various workshops to learn how to make your own Shimenawa, Gossatsu Sou, or mini Kadomatsu. The class and materials are covered with the fee, ranging from 800~1,000円. Please enquire with the location directly – TEL 0952-98-0696.
