Each year in Saga there are 2 JET Programme yearly conference, the Skills Development Conference and the Winter JET conference. Additionally, there is the Prefectural Orientation held for new JETs. This page is the gateway to the information presented at those conferences. . The structure and content of each conference is planned by the Prefectural Advisors (PAs) and District Representatives (DRs) as a group.
The general overall goal is to provide professional development and training opportunities, as well as more general lifestyle information to make living and working in Saga as easy and comfortable as possible.

Saga JET Prefectural Orientation
Held in: August
Participants: New (incoming) Saga JETs and District Representatives (DRs)
Purpose: To provide information on work and lifestyle issues to assist new JETs to settle in to work and life in Saga
Venue: Saga Shoko Building, Saga City
Saga Skills Development Conference
Held in: November
Participants: All Saga ALTs and a large number of Japanese teachers of English (JTEs)
Purpose: To provide information and training relating primarily to team teaching
Venue: Grand Hagakure Hotel, Saga City
Saga Winter JET Conference
Held in: January
Participants: All Saga JETs
Purpose: To provide information and training opportunities regarding both work and lifestyle issues, including specific sessions for JETs who are not reappointing, as well as a cultural seminar
