Moving to a new country and using a foreign health system can be daunting but your co-workers, supervisors, and fellow JETs are all here to make sure you can get access to whatever services you may need to stay healthy.

Japanese healthcare is by all standards safe and modern, so you need not worry about access or quality. We are all entitled to standard Health Insurance as part of our employment terms, so do not hesitate to seek out medical support if you need it!

For treatments not covered by our Health Insurance, it might also be useful to check the JET Programme or CLAIR websites, as they do offer grants for certain treatments (such as Mental Health Counselling)
