From tomorrow (until May 5th), Arita’s biggest event of the year, the Arita Porcelain Fair starts!! Looking forward to meeting you there.

Besides a 4km long street full of porcelain shops and great porcelain bargains, there will also be a lot of events going on:
Events with the mascots of Saga prefecture, dance performances, street artists, a cooking show with Japan`s famous cook Hiromitsu Nozaki (on May, 4th (Sat.) at 1pm), games and many more!

Fair with local dishes (ご当地グルメ): Here you can try all kinds of local specialties from in and around Saga prefecture (e.g. Bento with boiled Saga beef (すき焼き), Wakakusu curry with pork meat, famous “Ika Sanmi” Bento with squid, etc.)!

Aritan Stamp Rally: Collect 3 Aritan* stamps, fill out the stamp rally form, hand it in at the Arita Chamber of Commerce and Industry and take part in a lottery to win awesome Aritan goods!

今週も、有田の姉妹都市であるドイツのマイセンからの団体が来日しました。金曜日に福岡に到着して、今日から有田を訪問するので、とても面白い一週間になるでしょう :D.
In other terms, a delegation from Arita’s sister city in Germany, Meissen, is currently visiting Japan; they arrived in Fukuoka on Friday and came to Arita today, so this will be a very eventful week :D.
Saga JET Programme
