Michelin is to launch its first Kyushu dining and accommodation guide to Fukuoka and Saga on July 10. With an English version not expected online until later this year, the helpful folks at Fukuoka Now have provided some English highlights and details of the top scoring restaurants following a pre-launch event. It includes:

Saga highlights:

• 3x 2 star restaurants
• 9x 1 star restaurants
• 8x Bib Gourmand (value-for-money) restaurants
• 24x place you can eat under  eat ¥1,500
• 50x no marks but recommended
• 70x total restaurants recognized
• 34x ryokan
• 17x hotels
