April Events

The sakura are soon to go into full bloom, so get your bentos and chu-hais ready and prepare to head out to Ogi Park, Karatsu Castle, Mifuneyama or any other cherry blossom spot around Saga! And here are some events you can check out once those pink and white petals fall.

Fossil Exhibition
  • Details: Around 350 fossils will be on display
  • When: March 18 to May 15, closed Mondays or the day following a Monday holiday, open May 2

Oyamauchiyama Porcelain Fair
  • When: April 1 to 5, 8:30 to 17:00
  • Where: The Okawauchiyama kiln area
Rally Car Championships Round One, Tour de Kyushu 2016 in Karatsu

Take no Ko (Bamboo Shoot) Festival
  • Details: Dig up and then cook and eat bamboo shoots
  • When: April 10, 8:30 to 14:oo
  • Where: The Old Uchiage Junior High School, Karatsu
