Kashima Odori Dance Festival

• Where: The shopping area, downtown Kashima City

Beer Garden Hoshinomi 2016

• When: July 29, 30, August 5, 6
• Where: The roof of the Aiparetto, Taku City
• Cost: Entrance is free

Joubaru River Hangi Festival

• Details: “Boat” races in wooden barrels. There will also be dance performances, a soumen eating contest, bon odori and fireworks
• When: August 6, races at 11:30 and 17:00
• Where: Joubaru River Park

Sakae no Kuni Festival

• When: August 6 and 7, 14:00 to 22:00 (fireworks the first night)
• Where: On the main street between Saga Station and Saga Castle

King of Curry Showdown

• Details: This is an event to choose the best curry and showcase local ingredients
• When: August 7, 11:00 to 15:30 (Polls close at 15:45)
• Where: Karatsu City Furusato Kaikann Arupino
• Cost: Food tickets are 1000 yen in advance, 1200 yen the day of (supplies limited)

Ureshikarnival

• When: August 10, 19:00
• Where: Ureshino Onsen shopping district

Ninja de Meguru

• Details: Dress like a ninja (free) and walk through town. Shuriken competition at 13:00 (sign-up at the park)
• When: August 11, 10:00 to 17:00 (Same day as the Ureshino Summer Festival and fireworks)

• Details: Local foods presented on works by top porcelain makers and exhibition of the the ARITAEPISODE2 products.

Projection Mapping by Team Lab in Takeo

• When: August 15 to September 25, 20:00 to 22:30, Mifuneyama; 20:00 to 22:00, Takeo Ookusu, etc.

Ureshino Banka

• Details: An event to enjoy Ureshino tea, Ureshino’s pottery Hizen Yoshida ware and foods

Shiota Festival
