Unveiling Ceremony for the New Statue of Nabeshima Naomasa

• Details: Naomasa is deeply respected in Saga for his work to modernize the domain and Japan as a whole at the end of the Edo period and start of the Meiji period. His original statue was removed during WWII, but has been recreated through donation, ahead of the 150th anniversary of the Bakumatsu.
