Circle Time at Takeo International Festival
  • Details: We’re doing two mini sessions. If you’d like to help out, please send Hannah a message come at least 15 minutes before the start of a session. And feel free to enjoy the other events running from 10:00 to 16:00!

Circle Time with Asomanabu Halloween
  • Details: Our most exciting Circle Time of the year! Come in costume and read Halloween-themed books with local kids. If we get enough volunteers, we might also help SPIRA run its other Halloween-themed stations.
  • When: *Saturday*, October 28, please come at 9:30 to help set up! The event ends at noon.
  • Where: International Plaza, Saga Shoko Building, Saga City
5th Kanpai with Sagansake
  • Details: Falling on a Sunday this year, it is being re-worked as a 24-hour event. Celebrate the local brewing industry at one of the participating restaurants or via SNS (so you don’t even have to be in the country!). Open to those of legal drinking age (20+ in Japan) only. Only applies to sake and shochu designated as “Sagansake” (marked with a special “The Saga” sticker).
  • When: The full 24 hours of October 1
  • Where: Bars and pubs across Saga Prefecture, or wherever in the world you’re drinking Sagansake

9th Iga-style Shuriken Throwing Tournament, Kyushu Preliminaries

2017 Saga Light Fantasy Opening Event
  • Details: Includes light up ceremony, parade and a street party. Groups of 10 or more can register to participate in the parade as an organization. Info here. There will also likely be a Halloween group open to anyone in Saga again this year, but details have yet to be released.
