Arita have released a new video (below) promoting the 400th year anniversary of porcelain ceramics in Japan.

The celebration will be held in 2016 and is sure to be a HUGE event as preparations are well in the works already. If you didn`t already know, Arita is the birthplace of porcelain pottery in Japan and dates all the way back to 1616.

However, you don’t have to wait till 2016 to experience the ceramics festival! During this year’s Golden Week (April 29th – May 5th) Arita will be busy and bustling with thousands of visitors from all over Japan coming to take part in the annual ceramic festivities and great sales!

This years theme is ARITA = ART+AI (Love). This lovely poster was created by a student from Arita Technical High School. Check it out!
