先日は佐賀を代表する丸ぼうろのベーカリー鶴屋を見学させてもらいました。鶴屋は1639年に創業、二代目のオーナーは出島に行ってもともとポルトガルからのお菓子、丸ぼうろのレシピをオランダ人に習ったと言われています。 370年後の今でも、丸ぼうろは昔ながらの作り方で作られています。材料はシンプル(小麦粉、卵、砂糖や蜂蜜)で、優しい甘さがします。見た目はクッキーですが、食感はふわふわでケーキに似ています。焼き立ての丸ぼうろをいただいてみたのですが、最高においしかったですよ♪ The other day I visited a bakery of one of Saga’s most famous sweets: marubouro.
